Journaling Tips and Ideas

Journaling - Telling the story of the photos in your scrapbook.

Pictures are great.  But if you just wanted to look at pictures by themselves, then you would have them in your photo album, not in your scrapbook.

Here are several tips to "liven up" your journaling.

If your not sure what to write, I have written a guide to get you started.  Its titled "What sort of things should I write in my scrapbooking album?" and covers the basics of getting started.

If your already fluent in journaling, you should read the guide anyhow.  You might pick up some ideas or techniques that you didn't think of before.

What about poetry, quotes and scripture?

Glad you asked that... There are literally thousands of quotes, poetry and scripture that you can use when journaling.

Have a favorite quote?  Why not use it on your page.

Scrapbooking a baby dedication?  Scripture can add a nice touch.

Creating memories of your wedding?  Try a poem!

I have compiled a few resources for you already.  You can find poems, quotes and scriptures for any occasion.

Remember... Journaling is not necessary for every page.  In fact, you can create a very beautiful scrapbook without using any journaling.   But if you find yourself looking at a page and thinking "hmmm... its missing something".  Then try some journaling... you will suprise yourself at what a few key phrases or quotations can do!
